I really like using Stamp feature but switching between profiles in the Stamp Management dialog results in the application taking some time to refresh the preview pane. How can I improve this?

The preview pane is designed to offer a very accurate representation of how the output document will appear. It’s possible to navigate through pages in a document to verify your stamp settings. Consequently clicking on multiple stamps requires the preview pane to refresh at every click. For large documents or profiles with many stamps, we [...]

I’ve stamped my document with the wrong stamp. I need to remove the stamp, how can I do it?

Stamps can only be removed using the undo feature if the document has not been saved. If the document has been saved, use Acrobat’s built in editing tools to remove unwanted stamp [...]

I’m using the overlay and underlay feature but it doesn’t seem to work. How do I use this feature with PDF stamps?

You can overlay or underlay a PDF stamp if you stamp it with text or an image. Stamping only PDF stamps will stamp in the order in which they appear in the list box.

Why can’t I view some of the dynamic text options in the preview pane?

Some of the macros are only created dynamically when a user selects a file to stamp during runtime. The reason these do not appear in the preview pane is because it is dependent on the metadata of the selected file. The options that get affected by this are: $Title $Author $Subject $Keywords

Why is it when I choose to preview a stamped document in a batch process, a random stamped file is opened?

Why does the border feature for text stamps, work differently to image and PDF stamps? I want to place text inside a box like my image stamp.

For text stamps, inserting a border results in a line being created around all characters individually, instead of actually including a border around the whole text stamp.

Does ARTS PDF Aerialist Pro work if all my files are stored on a network drive?

Yes, the majority of ARTS PDF Aerialist Pro features work, even if your files are stored on a network drive. The only exception is the ‘merge by control file’ feature. The merging process will not work if any of your selected source files are stored on a network drive. They all must be stored locally.

When I attempt to merge PDF files using the control file method I get an error message. What does this error message mean?

You may get errors such as ‘Control file is malformed’ or ‘The file x.pdf doesn’t exist. The reason for these errors may be one of the following: You have moved or deleted a PDF file. You have spelt the pathname of a file incorrectly. You have used spaces instead of tabs. You used quotes before/after [...]

When extracting an image with ARTS PDF Aerialist X Pro, the resolution of this image is changing to 96 dpi. Why is this happening?

Extracted images are resized to the system resolution (on Windows this is 96 dpi, on Macintosh this is 72 dpi). The extracted image contains all of the image data, but if these images are placed/opened in a page layout or an external image editing application the size will appear larger than it was in the [...]
