To kick off the new year in style we have decided to release a free new tool called PDF Properties Changer which lets you add, edit and remove properties (or metadata if you prefer that term) from PDF files. We have been using it for a while now internally and have found it saves us quite a bit of time. Instead of going through the process of opening a PDF (and waiting while the PDF viewer opens) just so that you can edit the PDF’s properties, now you can simply right-click on the PDF and select ‘PDF Properties Changer > Edit PDF Properties’ to begin editing immediately. Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a… you get the idea.
Features:
- Edit the Title, Author, Subject and Keywords property fields of PDFs.
- Edit the properties of multiple PDFs at the same time.
- Standalone application — it does not require Adobe Acrobat or any other software to work.
- Extremely easy-to-use and quick to load.
Visit PDFPropertiesChanger.com to download this free tool.
Does this tool only modify the DocInfo fields or does it also modify the XMP values?
Be aware that DocInfo is officially deprecated in ISO 32000 and all conforming readers & writers are required to use XMP instead.
As such, I hope that your tool complies with the international standard.

Well spotted, PDF Properties Changer only modifies the DocInfo fields at present, however, we’ve plans to update this to include the XMP fields in the near future. We’ve previously posted a note at 4xPDF.com regarding how to obtain the ISO 32000 document free of charge — note: pillow not included!
