Bookmarks provide a fast and convenient way to navigate through PDF documents. Unlike links, which are included in line with PDF content, bookmarks can be constantly accessible through the Bookmarks Panels in viewers like Adobe Reader, Acrobat and Debenu PDF Tools Pro. This makes PDF bookmarks distinctively useful for efficiently navigating through PDFs. While it’s possible to create bookmarks individually using Acrobat, Debenu PDF Aerialist can quickly create an entire bookmark hierarchy according to a blueprint that is already found in many PDFs: their tables of contents (TOC).
Here’s how to use Debenu PDF Aerialist to create bookmarks from a TOC:
1. In Acrobat, select Tools > Debenu PDF Aerialist 11 > Bookmarks > Add Bookmarks.

2. Click Import.
The Add Bookmarks Dialog.
3. Select “From TOC of current PDF”.
Import Bookmarks dialog.
4. Click OK.
5. Select the appropriate options based on the location and style of your existing Table of Contents.
Import TOC to Bookmarks.
6. Click OK.
7. Click OK again to add these bookmarks to your PDF.
