Bookmarks are an invaluable tool when it comes to navigating through PDF files. Unlike links, bookmarks sit beside document content, and can be used or viewed at any time using the Bookmarks Pane or its equivalent in viewers such as Acrobat, Adobe Reader or Debenu PDF Tools Pro. Since they play such a key role in document navigation, it is important to ensure that your bookmarks look and function correctly. Unfortunately, updating bookmarks individually can be time-consuming and prone to error. To save on time and reduce the risk of error, you can use Debenu PDF Aerialist to update the properties of bookmarks throughout your PDF files when you are preparing a PDF document for posting, viewing or submission.

Here’s how:

1. Select Tools > Debenu PDF Aerialist 11 > Bookmarks > Edit All Properties.

2. Select “All bookmark levels” to modify every bookmark in the current document or “Only bookmark level” to modify each bookmark level individually.

3. Configure the appropriate properties for text appearance, text case and bookmark behaviour.
4. Click Start.
5. If you chose to set properties for each bookmark level individually, steps 1-4 must be repeated for each level being modified.

This feature gives content creators the control they need to promptly deliver consistent, error-free documents.
