Depending on your workflow, you might need to apply the same set of links to many PDF files. For those who need to add links to forms, letterhead or the like, the ability to export and import links between PDFs can be a crucial time-saver. That way, the links only need to be manually created once, and then applied to each new document as it is prepared.

Fortunately, this task is relatively straightforward in Debenu PDF Aerialist. Indeed, Aerialist also allows users to perform these tasks with PDF bookmarks (see the post on how to export and import bookmarks). Instructions on how to export and import links from a PDF using Debenu PDF Aerialist are outlined separately, below.

Exporting Links from a PDF

1. In Acrobat, select Tools > Debenu PDF Aerialist 11 > Links.

2. Select Export/Import Links.

3. Ensure that the “Export” radio button is selected.

4. Set the desired location to save the links.

5. Configure the page range or header and footer coordinates for exporting.

6. Click “Start”.

Importing Links into a PDF

1. In Acrobat, select Tools > Debenu PDF Aerialist 11 > Links.

2. Select Export/Import Links.

3. Ensure that the “Import” radio button is selected.

4. Set the location where the desired links are located (the file extension will be “.LPF”).

5. Configure the page range for exporting and decide whether to import header and footer links by checking the appropriate box.

6. Click “Start”.
