Links and bookmarks provide a quick and usable way to navigate within and between PDF documents. When they are broken for some reason, this disrupts the reading experience, and can make it impossible to navigate through important content. Manually checking through each PDF for broken links is tedious and time-consuming, as this involves opening each file in a PDF viewer and verifying each link or bookmark.
Debenu PDF Aerialist’s Audit Links feature (Links > Audit Links) can be used to validating links and bookmarks throughout entire documents or document collections.
Here’s how:
1. Select Tools > Debenu PDF Aerialist 11 > Links > Audit Links.

2. Select “Check for bad links” or “Check for bad bookmarks”.

3. Click Find.
Broken links.
4. Double-click on an entry to briefly see the original link/bookmark.
5. To repair a broken link or bookmark, select it and click Fix.
6. Assign the desired action and click “Change”.

Note: Fixed links/bookmarks will be listed in the Links and Bookmarks Audit interface as they are updated.
